The front desk has a very knowledgeable person who shares history and local happenings. Wonderful museum of local artifacts, real life items- fur jacket in Bison for an explorer, wee opium bottles, gold panning, skiing and more! $5 entry for adults. The gift shop has really cool local artists as their focus. Some first nations art and books. Would enjoy going again!
Amazing archives. Very educational. I liked that they aknowledged the traditional territory of the first nations people. Friendly and helpful staff.
Took the downtown walking tour, tour guide was very knowledgeable. Nice exhibits and great gift shop inside.
A surprisingly impressive, historic collection of local artifacts -well layed out and artistically displayed. Even the building dates back more than a hundred years. The adjacent green space, was a delightful suprise - a beautifully tended garden to sit and pen this review.I wonder if the locals, realize what a civic treasure they secret in their midsts.
A lovely museum. Well worth a visit.
